This section will explain the key points to consider when mounting molds onto a plastic injection molding machine.
Mold clamp

The process of installing molds onto a plastic injection molding machine

2. Adjust the mold clamping devices, but do not tighten the mold locking mechanism yet.

3. Use a crane to lift the mold and clamp the mold on the cavity side using the cavity adaptor plate..

4. Adjust the clamping device/mold clamp on the core side using the core adaptor plate.

5. Move the pump housing of the machine. Determine the installation position of the mold and adjust the nozzle spacing; a positioning ring should be installed on the mold to facilitate this process.

6. Adjust the clamping devices manually. Check the mold’s moving parts and the lubrication system.
